Painted some minis for Africa

During the last week I have built me some Elite Askaris for my The Men Who Would Be King´s forces. I used plastic minis from the Perry Zouave and Sudan boxes to build most of the Askaris.

Some Askaris and the White Officer are from the Foundry Darkest Africa range as well as the African tribal minis that I just rebased and fixed up the paint work as it was some 15 years sins I painted them.

    1. Thanks Juan

The rules are very formgivning for the basing but are armed at singelbasad minis with casulty removal, mu 1,2,3 basing work perfect for me and for the rules. My next Lion Rampant hoast Will ve with the 1,2,3 basing to :)

  5. Excellent job how do you find the foundry vs perry size comparison I was going to get some of their Zouave and Sudanese but was worried they would look very skinny.

    1. Thank you Matt!

I have no problem with the sizes of the minis and gladly would mix Perry plastic and foundry Africa minis.

  6. Nice work indeed Michael - its always fun to pick up old work, and actually see the development in painting technique over time. Love the shields and the warpainted tribal units.

  7. Excellent concersion work -- I would never have guessed those ASkari figures started out as Perry ACW Zouaves!

Also love the white hand emblems on the red shields of the older tribal warriors that you rebased & touched-up!
