NATIONAL ARMY LISTS FOR THE PIKEMAN’S LAMENT

I and Dan have had some questions regarding national army lists for The Pikemans Lament. We chose to exclude them from the rules, as at the company level we set our games at, you wouldn’t have troops representing the overall ratios of a national army. But since it seems like some players would like to have them, who are we to say no? So here’s a bunch of national army lists for different conflicts for the period 1618-1721. The lists are by no means complete or set in stone, so please feel free to adjust our suggestions as you wish.

  4. Yes, many thanks.

Slightly off topic but when you reviewed Osprey's Chosen Men rule set you mentioned that you used The Pikeman's Lament with some very small adaption for the Finnish War 1808 game.

Would you please list those small adaptions to Pikemen's Lament for Napoleonic's?

    Thanks again.

    2. Hi Robert
I neWerner got around postning any thing. Was no major changes just that all shot can form close order and that all artillery could add a Limber @ 2 pointes, allowing them to limbeer on or off as a move action and they got move 10" if limbered-up.

  7. Thank you very much! Do you think that a list for Queen Anne's War would look the same as the list for the War of The Spanish Succession, or should it perhaps include some native american units (clansmen/tribesmen that is).

    1. Hi Markus

I would absolutely Include native americans in the british, french and Spanish forces.

A bit like the american Colonial lists i made in the exotic armylists.
