About thirty years ago I got my first RPG for christmas, "Drakar och Demoner" (Dragons and Demons), it opened a new world to me that I´m still stuck in but nowerdays in miniature wargaming.
Anyway a few month later a Swedish produced Post-Apocalyptic RPG was released "Mutant" it was all set in Sweden after a disaster that had wiped out most of mankind, we played that game very much for several years.
So about a mont ago a sequel and total re-worked edition of Mutant was released here in Sweden, I just could not resist...They had done a realy greate work and one of my old gaming budies had even made all the layout for the game and Jonas, yes the man I game most with, have been one of the play testers...without saying a word to me... not nice at all ;)
The big difference in setting was that they had made it even more Post-Apocalyptic and as the wargaming butterfly I am I just had to do a small wargaming project inspired from the new RPG, Mutant år Noll (Mutant year Zero).
Here follows some inspirational video clips from the "Mutant år Noll" team:
Very cool, an interesting change up pitch from painting historical!
ReplyDeleteThat does look like a good PC game.
I hope it will be a good little project and it is indeed to get a change from the historical painting.
DeleteI say! Three days or so ago I saw this box at the old FLGS and asked the employee what in the world was going on: An infringement of copyrights? A purchase of IP that went unnoticed in the pen and paper-RPG-community of Sweden? A dream?
ReplyDeleteThe answer he gave me was: "I do not know, I am just filling in here for X."
So, thank your mr Dalauppror for this update, and I will definitely not mind if you post more on this matter-
And a nice blog you have here. Jag borde kanske presenterat mig, men det här är ju internet, så vanligt hyfs är ju tydligen inte lika viktigt! ;)
Hi Mr Llama, very nice to meet you:)
DeleteSome more posts it will be, I hope...
Interesting project. I've never been lucky enough to be in a long tern RPG group. I'd love to do something 'dark future" with various Imperial Guard and cultists minis.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunate I dont get the time for RPG nower days, family take to much time.
DeleteNice i realy love Muntant... and i got the old Purple box to ;)

I don't know if your fallowing this link on LADF, but it might give you some cool idea for conversions and the like.
Thanks for the link, hadent looked at it before.
DeletePretty cool idea and a good WIP state so far. I'm looking forward to see those guys finished.
ReplyDeleteCheers
Stefan
Working on it:)
DeleteThe video's are very atmospheric. Just what I like. Interesting project.
ReplyDeleteVery cool Michael! Looking forward to seeing them finished and painted up.
ReplyDeleteI'm in a regular gaming group with the designer of Mutant: År Noll, and we play tested an early version of the game. It has a lot of elements from one of my favourite RPGs, Apocalypse World, but with a distinct twist of its own.
Mutant, the old purple box, was actually my first RPG way back in the days so naturally I'm excited about all this.
Must. Resist. Another. Project. ;)
Oh, by the way – I'm sure Tomas (the designer) would be up for some gaming when you've finished the miniatures!
I hope you will join up for some Mutant gaming an please bring Tomas when we tested rules to use, not sure about that yet...
DeleteThat looks wonderfully atmospheric and dark - just mu sort of thing and I love the look of the WIPs so far.
ReplyDeleteGood to heare Michael.
DeleteIn the original RPG I didn´t feelt it so dark but that setting was about 100 years after the apocalyos and a new civilatione was growing, more like a Swedish Wild West setting....
Certainly interesting Michael!
ReplyDeleteCool trailer :) Very nice work from your friends.
ReplyDeleteis there an English translation?
ReplyDeleteSorry no english transalation.
DeleteMe and some friends are starting up a "Mutant: År noll" campaign taking place in the neighborhood of Karlskrona. It will be very interesting I think.
ReplyDeleteReally interesting, and a very good base for a Post-Apocaliptic project!
ReplyDeleteThankyou for sharing this. I am a old fan of all the products from Aventyrsspel. In fact it was this that made me interessted in figures and painting.
