It is something rotten in the city of Stralsund

Osprey Games have more or less just released their latest skirmish rules The Silver Bayonet, written by Joseph A. McCullough, 

I was very impressed by the lauout of the rules, one of the best from Ospry in my mind, love the old book look and the black and white illustrations, it all gives good inspiration exccept for the Unit sheet that are a bit boring. I just had a few test games so far, but can conclude that  I love the rules and they work very well!

As you all probably know by now, I’m a big fan of having a Swedish angel of my wargaming project and of course so this time to. 

During the War of the Fourth Coalition that started in October 1806 more or less all fighting nations (France, Spain, Prussia, Russian England and of course Sweden) ended up with some troops in the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern area close to, by the time Swedish city of Stralsund in Swedish Pomeria, so it is the perfect time and place for some Napoleonic monster hunts.

Lion Rampant second edition...just 8 month left...

 

There will be a second edition of Dan Merseys Lion Rampant rules published by Osprey, its due for release in 2022 july 19... just 8 month left...

Not sure if this is the official cover, but I think so. The book will be a hardback of 160 pages, havent seen it yet.

As I understand Dan there will be added content for the dark age period... VIKINGS etc... as well as the medieval period. In addition, you'll find extra scenarios and expanded campaign ideas, greater details for terrain, a chapter of optional rules, extra unit upgrades, and plenty of other new stuff. 

The core rules have a few updates but it's still LR as you know it. Same goes for troop types - any retinue you raised for the blue book will still be usable. 

Now its just to start waitning...

Scenario #1 - The Botched Deal

 

My two Chiselers was working this physical loot 7 times before they managed to unlock it...

Last week we had our first stargrave game at the club, running scenario #1 The Botched Deal there our 4 crews had ended up on the outskirts of a small town on some forgotten planet. It become a bloody shootout with plenty of local ruffians trying to protect their turf and at the ende a Bounty hunter causing further problems...
