So you have seen it blockpainted and washed with ink, now I have hight lighete it and tidy up the blockpainting I really hope you like the end result of my finised Gun yawl build for my Finnish war 1808 project :)
Excellent work! There was a less known battle outside my hometown, Kuopio in the summer of 1808 where Sandels attempted to recapture the town by rowing across Kallavesi with boats and supported by gun yawls. The amphibious assault was uncontested at first, but quickly repulsed by the Russians once they had time to get organized. The end stages saw Swedes and Finns retreat to the boats under enemy musketry fire and all that good stuff. The makings of a scenario perhaps?
Beautiful stuff. I'm wondering why you used the British rifle men for the rowers & the Austrians for the standing figures. Are the Austrians in a uniform more similar to the Swedes, but the British in a better rowing position?
Spot on, I thought the British rifles was in a better rowing position but the Autrians uniform work better as Swedes, at least if you want Plastics, otherewise I would recoment to use Perrys Brittish for Egypt, the ones with roundhatts. you can fins a tutorial how to convert them in to swedes on my matey mattias blog:
