Draugrdrottin - WIP

As I needed a real leader for my hoard of Draugar and Ravens I decided to build me the one and only Draugrdrottin.

Draugrdrottin is one of many epithelium for a quite famous man in the Norse mythology...I really hope you see who...or I will cry ;)

The mini I used as a base are from Elladan Miniatures. Wolfs and Ravens are from the Nortstar Frostgrave range, and ofcourse a bunch of plasticks for the base. The Extra legs for the Horse as well as the plastic wolfskin cloak are old GW bits.

Ravens of Odin

To support my hoard of Draugar I decided to add some Ravens of Odin, so I started to search for minis to use and was luckey to find a expanssion kit for Zombicide "Murder of Crowz" that was perfect for me as it had 15! bases with Ravens/Crowz.

I made some conversion work to get them in to my 1,2,3 basing system and managed to get 9 bases out of the box, 3 of each size.

Painted my Draugar - Viking Again-walkers

Here comes some pictures of my 72 Draugar after I added some paint and fixed up the bases. I wanted them to look a pale but blueish in tone, as they are described in the Norese Mythology, I hope I managed that... if not...I won´t re-paint them;)

Draugar - Viking Again-walkers

Zombies are nothing new to us here in Sweden and the Nordic countries. They have been bothering us for more than 1000 years, all the way back to the Viking era and beyond. We call them Draugar, which means ‘Again-walkers’, as this is what they really are. Some of you might also want to name them revenants, but as this article is focused on the Viking mythology, we will stick with the Norse name of Draugar. And they are plentiful, at least in the scenarios in my latest article in WSS-85.

In the article you can read a bit about how I build my Draugar so I thought I would share some work in progress pictures from my build of my 72 Draugar.  In the next blog post i´ll post some WIP pictures of the Draugrdrotten to, so please stay tuned for more;)
