Samurai Interlude

I have had these 12 minis half painted for years, ever sins my friend Oscar lured me into a Samurai Skirmish project, Genpei War I belice it was called.

As a short painting interlude I decided to finsih them up. The minis are from The Assault Group, 4 Samurai Archers and 8 Followers with Naginatas, might even get me to try out the Osprey Skirmish Samurai rules "Ronin" even thought they are for a later era....

    Fantastic painting, Michael! I especially love the Naginata in bamboo (?) armor. Very cool indeed.

      Bamboo ARMOUR....didn´t know it was armour, I thought of a raincoat;) Learning new stuff each day.

      I king of like the "Heroic" bases, lifts the minis one step more, even if not painted that well...

    Very nice paint work - and I play Ronin with Gempei era Assault Group figures. The rules include modifications for earlier and later eras.
