My club mateys Sören and Jesper will run a Greate Northern War club campaign during the autum, it will revolve around the Swedish invassion of Russia 1708. All participants have got orders to paint up a battallion of Swedish infantry, and of course I have painted the 1st Battallion of the Dalregiment ;)
All minia are from the new Warfare Miniature Geate Northern War Swedish Infantry range.
That is a fine addition to the collection, lovely troops Michael.
ReplyDeleteAppreciated Michael !
DeleteNice looking regiment. I might have to look at some Warfare Miniatures for Pikeman's Lament!
ReplyDeleteThanks !
DeletePlease do as they are very fine minis and The Pikeman's Lament will of course include the GNW :)
Superb looking unit Michael.
ReplyDeleteThank you Ray
DeleteLooking forward to seeing how the campaign unfolds. Lovely minis as always. Interesting to see that the pikes don't look that much longer than the muskets with bayonets.
ReplyDeleteThanks Steve !
DeleteRegarding the Muskets, the Swedes used was almost 1.5 m long and to that you add 0,7m bayonet totals 2,2m :) The Pikes they used was quite short about 4m so I think Warfare miniatures fot the muskets quite good in size.
As a exampel a Danish musket from the same time was about 1.2 m + bayonet
Best regards Michael
Thanks for the info Michael which explains things nicely.
DeleteGreat figures and will you be using Pikeman's Lament as the rules?
ReplyDeleteThanks !
DeleteThey didn´t know of the Pikeman's Lament when they planed the club campaing so I think we stick with Black Powder for that one :)
Very nice looking unit Michael!
