My matey Jan are building the terrain in UK so here in Sweden we are painting the minis for our Salute 2017 demonstration game "Fort Mosquito".
The last weeks I been working on 24 plastic Woodland Indians from Warlord, I decided to place them in canoes as they was a bit to delicate compared to the metal minis we use, so I didn´t want to mix them.
The Canoes are different plastic toy flee-market finds, so costed me about £2 in total.

ReplyDeleteVery spiff, Mr. Leck! Whose figures did you use for the Indians? I'm getting interested in trying something like this for King Philip's War in New England, but most of the Indian figures available are suitable for French and Indian War, American Revolution, War of 1812, etc. Not the early stuff.

ReplyDeleteI used a Box of plastic Wislander indians from Warlord, but i won't get any more or recomend you to get them.
Most other Woodland indians we Will use are meral from galloping major Perry, Warlord, North star so the are really from the later periods but we use the as we already had extensive collections. We Also Will mix in some Gripping beast scraelings, they would be good for the early era.
Unfortunate i don't think they are in production didn't find them at their web.
Otherwise brigade games have a King Philips war range that look good.

Also Eureka miniatures have a nice range of early Woodland indians
