Rohan Building

 

Been painting a lot of minis for the Games Workshop Middle-Earth Battle Strategy Game the last couple of month, thought it was time to show at least some of my work. so today a Rohan House I painted.

The House are a 3D print printed by my club matey Joakim, the STL was a freebee from the "Kingdom of Saxonia" range. that was printed without the stone foundation, the Wattle fence are from Renedra. Wery nice house indeed.

LotR with Dragon Rampant rules

During the autum of 2015 I, Jonas and Sören talked about starting up some Dragon Rampant gaming using our old Games Workshop Lord of the Ring minis. I was indeed a slow worker in this little project as both Jonas finished his first part of Rohan Warband and Sören have made a stunning work on his Elves Warband during the fall of 2015.

I have been painteing mine Sauruman Warband and last knight I had a quick foto session with the finished minis. No fancy work but they will work good for some LotR games using the Dragon rampant rules. I havent yet decided what troop type to use but you will see in some upcomming AAR´s as soon as we get a game or two.

Anyway here are some pictures of the finished Warband:

First a unit of Pike armed Uruk-Hai

Crossbow armed Uruk-Hai, the minis are mainly sword and shield Uruk-Hai minis that I cut of the arms and gave them crossbow arms from FireForge.

Might mix the Pike and Crossbow in to some kind of mixed infantry...

2 units of Sword and Shield Uruk-Hai.

Also included a Leader in the case I leve Sauruman at home and fo all Uruk-Hai :)

Berserkers and engineers with a bomb. perfect for the exploding rule in Dragon Rampant ;)

And a heavy tank... Troll, will be fielded as a singel model unit i think...

The warbands hero himsefl Saruman with his loyal servant Wormtongue.

Wormtongue I was thinking of placing in my oponents command unit to deliver ill advices, not sure of the effect but at least no moral bonus for the Leader untill Wormtongue are exposed ;)
