First of the Mohawks

I have primed the Mohawks black and brushed the first 7 of them with Chocolate Brown to get some contours and a good base coat to start with.

Minis from Galloping Major and Bases and Trays from Warbases

As you might have notised on the first picture I also finished the First of the Mohawks as a test mini.

I think he turned out quite well, but I might be a little bit more daring with the warpaint on the next ones:)

3rd "Fora" for the Crusade...

Here are some pictures of the 3rd Fora/Sledge for my Baltic Crusade project.

The Fora/Sledge are based on the Perry RN 34 Single horse peasant/ Cossack wagon from the Russian napoleonic range.

As I already used the driver on one of the other sledges I had to make me a new one using a Gripping Beast Plastic Saxon with a hooded head from West Wind

Starting with the Mohawks

I have started to sort out my christmas gift, the Mohawk warparty from Galloping Major.

They have now all been glued to round 20mm bases from Warbases and are up for priming, then the painting will begin...

I hope to have them all painted by the end of February, as I think it will take some more time to paint the Warpainting on them.

My and Jonas FIW project might have started a Muskets & Tomahawk hype at our club... I poste the first post about it at our forum today and just in a couple of houres at least 4 other members have stated that they will join in for som FIW skirmish gaming, seem like this will be the club project for the spring of 2013:)

Making a 3rd Sledge

As you most often need 3 wagons/sledges in wargaming scenarios I decided to use the Perry RN 34 Single horse peasant/ Cossack wagon to build me a 3rd sledge...

Here are some pictures of the progress so far...

Plans for 2013

So the new year have begun, a perfect time for setting some miniatures and gaming plans for 2013.

Kalmar Union War

Of course will I continue my 15th century Swedish project i.e Kalmar Union War. I haven´t decided what will be next up at the painting table... Artillery, Dismounted Knights, Mounted Crossbowmen or maybe some more Allmoge, can´t have to many...

I plan to continue to use Dux Suecia as my main rules for this project but there will probably be some Hail Caesar games in this era to.

Baltic Crusades

I will also continue my Baltic Crusade project, starting up some Hetathen that my Swedish Crusaders can convert...

For the Baltic Crusades Project I will start playtest the Lion Rampant rules by Dan Mersey, As I start that up I will tell you as much as I´m allowed in my AAR about Dan´s new hot medieval wargaming rules.

Not an official logo, just my own creation;)

French and Indian War

The new project for 2013 will be to paint me some Mohawk, Woodland Indians by Galloping Major to be used in some FIW games using Muskets & Tomahawks.

As usual I might get inspiration for some other new project or small interlude, but at least I had a plan for 2013;)
