A few more pictures of my 8mm minis

I found a bunch of pictures from when I based and painted my Perry "TravelBattle" 8mm minis for my minimized playtest board of Rebels and Patriots.

The last 3 pictures are from the 1st game I and my son David played with the 8mm minis and board.

Made me a minimized playtest kit for Rebels and Patriots

When we started to playtest the rebels and patriots rules I really felt the need to be able to set up a quick game on the kitchentable so decided to get hold of some small minis like 6mm or 10mm, searched the web and in the end I decided to use the 8mm plastic minis from Perrys Travel Battle as they just had started to sell the sprues.

Said and done, ordered me 4 sprues of Minis as well as a sprue of Houses, quite cost effective as the red and blue forces and houses costed me £20 including P&P. I wanted to use my 1,2,3 basing but ended up to base them 3 minis to a base. It was a bit tricky to cut the minis apart as they are 5 on a strip, but nothing a steady hand and a sharp craftknife could not handle;)

I also made me a small gaming board using a 58x39 cork notiseboard "VÄGGIS" for £4.95 from IKEA. Even if I really prefere 28mm minis, it all work fine to run som test games using cm´s instead of the usual inch.

Might not be the best pictures but I hope you get the idee at least :)

Russian Infantry for Battle at Stäket 1719

I been working on more Russians for our Salute 2018 game "Battle at Stäket 1719". The Russians landed troops from at least 10 different regiment all with more or less different uniforms colours so it was a mix of Green, Blue, Red and White uniforms.

Below you can see the 42 minis I just finished that have the White uniform as well as some characters in Green uniform and some additions to the Blue ones to (That I originaly painted as 1670ish Swedes for my Scanian War project but they work as fine for 1819 Russians to). I included the units with Red and also the Green clad Grenadiers in some of the Pictures.

The last picture as of some Renedra plastic ridge tents for the Swedish camp.

All in all I now have 145 minis finished for the Russians, more to come...

All minis are from the Wargames Factory Plastic WSS infantry box, exccept for the mounted commander that I belive are from the WF Artillery box and the 3 Grenclad characters that Im not really sure of but a guess would be Wargames Illustrated Historical Character, Unknown and a Foundry mini.
