Longboats painted for Salute 2017 Fort Mosquito game

Here are some pictures of the Painted Longboats from Games of War, that also will be at Salute to sell their exellent boats.

One of the Longboats I have cut up in pieces and made a wrecked longboat, as the Dutch are landing I thought the Swedes at least had to blow up one of the Dutch longboats.

The rowing minis are from Dixon and the Oars are from the Model Dockyard.

WIP Buildings for Settlers and Natives

Here are some WIP pictures of the timber houses for the Swedish settler village as well as some houses for the Native American village that master terrainbuilder Jan are working on for the Salute demo game of The Pikeman´s Lament.

This time some officers planing the battle, minis from a Wargames Illustrated historical moment viginet, a Enginere, mini from Hamburger Tactica and last a bunch of angry Geese, exellent minis from Warbases. Also a Surgery viginet that I forgott to take a close up of... minis from Warlord.

More "Extras" for our Fort Mosquito game at Salute 2017

As Jan building terrain we here in Sweden paint the minis, Jesper and Andy are working on the Dutch force and I have concentrated on "Extras" to add some feel and look to the gaming table. This batch was villagers for the small Native American settlement close to the Swedish fort.

I also painted a bunch of Native American and European cassualty bases, always good to have :)

Minis are from Dedoubt, Dixon and Warlord.

WIP - Terrain for the "Fort Mosquito" game at salute 2017

Jan are doing a massive work on the terrain build to get us a nice gaming board for our The Pikeman´s Lament demo game "Fort Mosquito" at Salute. The game will revolve around New Sweden, the Swedish colony establiched in Delaware in America in the middle of the 17th Century.

As we focus on Fort Mosquito, that was one of the Swedish forts built to secire the naval trafic on the Delaware river, we decided to rebuild the terrain board from our Salute game last year, Foteviken 1134.

Here follows some pictures of jans work with the terrain board, Fort Mosquito and the Ship "Kalmar Nyckel".

Kalmar Nyckel have a intresting story as it was one of the two ship used for the first Swedish expeditions to America. Kalmar Nyckel was bought from the Dutch in Amsterdam, and was used during four vouages between Sweden and New Sweden. It was later sold back to the Dutch, that also used it to Sail to the New Amsterdam colony (New York) and it was also one of the Dutch ships that participated in the attack and capture of the New Sweden colony by the Dutch in 1655.

Without Jan´s extensive work on the terrain there would be no demo games at all for me at Salute, So a big big thanks to Jan for building stunning terrain and luring me in to the Salute bussiness :) 

 

Civilians for the Fort Mosquito project

In a bit of a painting frenzy at the moment... want to have all minis ready for our Salute game "Fort Mosquito" so today some civilian and a few with improvised arms, i.e. Swedish Settlers in New Sweden in the 1650´s. and also some fighting men to at the end, most of them will fight for the Dutch...

Minis are a mix from Warlord, Redoubt, Foundry and Dixon.
