Miners Militia Banner

The Socialist Miners Milita "Gruvettan" just had to have a banner as all Socialists just love to carry banners on the 1st of may as well in to combat...

Miniature from Musketeer Miniatures, the 3rd mini in the pack BCW 14 Militia Standard Bearers, i.e. the one not in the picture on the Musketeer site, was realy glad when I saw him as he is very cool i think:)

Hand painted linnen banner, on the fron you have: "GRUVETTAN" 2 pick axes under the Darlecarlian CoA (Blue with crosses Crossbowbolts and a small crown) "GRÄNGESBERG"

On the back you have their motto "ENIGHET GER STYRKA" (Unity is Strenght) the CoA for the Central union organisation "GRUV" and the year thet the Union in Grängesberg was founded "STIFTAD 1893"

I painted his jacket as a Swedish army uniform coat as I picture him as a former Officer.
