It all have turned out in to my first 32 point Dux Bellorum army... a Saxon Warband according to the starter armys at Dan Merseys blog.
Saxons
1 Foot Companions with Leader @ 5 points
3 Noble Warriors @ 5 points each
4 Ordinary Warriors @ 3 points each
...It seems like there also have sneaked in some skirmishers in the pictures...bringing the army up to 33 points... 1 Foot Skirmisher (Sling/Javelin) @ 1 point each.
Quality, they look great! One of the benefits of having a big collection!
ReplyDeleteWow, the rebasing really pays off.
ReplyDeleteGood job!
That looks very good. The idea of having the tree that can be added or removed..I like that.
ReplyDeleteCheers
Paul
Wow, they look superb! One of the nicest things about writing rules is seeing what gamers more talented than go and produce for their armies.
ReplyDeleteIf you drop one of the ordinary warriors, you could use the skirmishers and the Experienced Warlord special rule (costs 2 points) ... you'll find out about that when the rules arrive, but I can tell you now that it's quite handy.
Oh, I hope you don't mind, I've grabbed one of the photos to put on my blog, directing readers here....
ReplyDeleteA great army, very nice. I expect to see it in battle soon.
ReplyDeleteBest regards.
Great work...just the image I needed to see as I'm doing single based Arthurians myself!

That looks really good, as usual! I'm starting to get very excited by both the upcoming "Duxes" – Bellorum and Britanniarum.
ReplyDeleteMichael, I tried to send you a message through Google's Friend Connect (it should pop up as a regular e-mail). Let me know if you didn't get it and I will try again.
Thanks Jonas

Clever basing technique (one idea I definitely intend to use myself). Any change of close up images of the figures themselves?
ReplyDeleteRegards,
Matt
Thanks Matt !
DeleteI fix some close-ups of the minis in a day or so.
Best regards Michael
Very impressive Michael!
ReplyDeleteNice job :-) I like the idea of basing separately and using movement trays with the cut outs.
ReplyDeleteJason.
Looks just great!! I think that's what I'll do is base my Arthurian's single and then have warbases make me some trays allowing me to play both the new Arthurian rule sets!
ReplyDeleteChristopher
Great collection!
