Building a medieval church #2

The first work in progress pictures of the Haraker church build...

The basic structure was made of fomacore with added texture paper on the outerwalls to get it look like natural stones and bricks.

The added plastic parts have been in my bitbox for some while, door and windows are Games Workshop...

...and the corner stones are from the Warlord ruined farmhouse set.

Black Perry box just to hold the parts together while the PVA dry.

By the way...I will not build the interior, so no lift of roof...

...more pictures as the work progress...

  2. That textured paper works a treat Michael. For my church I'm thinking a wooden structure, may be with a bit of stone, but not sure yet. I need to do a bit more research.

  7. This will be a great addition to your collection. Can see it applied to a very broad time line of history. Perfect for any Scandinavian battle fields.

  9. Looks very good. Tip..one way of Holding the walls together while they are drying, Pins or toothpicks. The Pins you can reuse, but with the toothpicks, break the tips off (about a third of the length) and push it fully in.
