Untill then you have some pictures of newly painted "Skärmytslare" or Skirmishers in english or handgunner if you like:) All minis fron the Perry plastic box eccept for the Ax that are a Gripping Beast Viking ax;)
The will be deployed as a unit of Bidowers in Lion Rampant, I won´t use the special rules Dan created for Handgonnas as I think they act like Bow/Crossbow armed Skirmishers its just some more noice...
As I painted them maily Red and White they will act as German mercenarys in Danish service during the Kalmar Union Wars...of course I need two proper Kalmar Forces for Lion Rampant to, don´t you think?
Great looking minis as always, great paint job and beautiful bases...
ReplyDelete"of course I need two proper Kalmar Forces for Lion Rampant to, don´t you think?"
ReplyDeleteYes, Yes and three times yes.
:) Greate that you think so;)
DeleteLooking good!
ReplyDeleteVery nice work! And I think there's no debate needed for adding more forces :) There's never enough lead and plastic going around especially with a subject like this!
ReplyDeleteIndeed it isn´t, and as plastics ar quite sheap you could get even more:)
DeleteGreat figures there.
ReplyDeleteI look forward to the pics too,not to mention the article coming out this weekend in WSS.
Cheers
Alan
Appreciated Alan !
DeleteJust a couple of days left, I hope you will like and get inspired by the article.
Very nice work. They do look like a force to be reckoned with. And of course you'll need some proper Kalmar forces for Lion Rampant.
ReplyDeleteThanks !
DeleteMore propper Kalmar Union forces indeed needed:)
Lovely stuff:)
ReplyDeleteI agree with them above, great models... ...and hurry upp with the rest of the Unionist and Rebell forces. As well as the Denmark pictures.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of the Kalmar Union, which would be best for Allmoge? (Yes, you have inspired me...)
The Plastic Medieval Perrys? (Looks a bit too elite at times.)
Gripping Beast Vikings? (Looks like vikings, but given kettlehats and Allmoge weapons...?)
Fireforge Games Foot Sergeants? ( They really screams Crusades, but they have kettlehats and crossbows.)
Appreciated !
DeleteNice to heare that you are going in to the Kalmar Union stuff:)
I would use a mix oth them all and also use perry bits on GB or FF, just start to mix and if you use some more armoured ones they always could be the local lesser noble that got hold of some spoiles of war, i.e. should not use the perry knight for allmoge;)
If you give me a couple of days and you will post some pictures of my newly built Allmoge using the mix of Perry plastics and Gripping Beast Viking/Dark age Warriors...
Once again great work Michael, the groundwork is particularly good on these.
ReplyDeleteLovely work there Michael
ReplyDeleteExcellent.
ReplyDeleteCheers
Nice work on these.
ReplyDeleteChristopher
Splendid as always Michael! I am of course looking forward to seeing more forces for your 15th-century project. You can't have to many of those! :)
ReplyDeleteWonderful work Michael! A very fine body of men and great bases too!
ReplyDeleteHey I was rereading your article and it would seem I missed the handgun rules that Dan made. Did he post them up any where?
ReplyDeleteIt sure was a great weekend Michael, and you even survived the local food ;0) Trying out Lion Rampant was a real treat, I look forward to more games soon!
ReplyDelete/sören
