WSS Issue 92 - The British-Swedish Paper War

The latest Wargames Soldiers and Strategy, issue 92,  has a British Napoleonic theme and my article about the British-Swedish Paper War with a What if scenario for the Sharp Practice rules are up at the WSS-online for download as a .pdf file.

"Believe it or not, the British navy occupied a small portion of Sweden between the years of 1810 and 1812. Even though they had previously been allies, a treaty with the French in 1810 would ultimately force the Swedes to declare war on the English in order to uphold the terms of the agreement. Luckily, this war turned out to be bloodless. However, in our online article for issue 92, the author imagines what might have happened if the Swedes had decided to take a more aggressive stance towards the small garrison of British sailors occupying a tiny corner of their homeland."

Napoleonic Sailors

I really loved the new British Napoleonic Naval landing party and Sailors from Perry miniatures, 4 different pack with in total 24 minis gave me enought minis to make some charging sailors, Naval Officers and some gun crew.

They will most often see service as Swedish sailors from "Arméns flotta/Skärgårdsflottan" The army fleet or The archipelago fleet:)

Finnish War 1808 in WSS Issue-86

As you might already know I have in Wargaming, Soldiers and Strategy Issue-86 two the articles "The Finnish War of 1808 - The boy versus the bear" and also "History and rules for Sharp Practice - The Swedish Army, 1805-09". The first one are background and Scenarios revolving around a Young Swedish Artillery officer that died a heroic death. The second one are a background and armylist for Too Fat Lardies Sharp Practise rules that have worked wery well in our games.

I thought I should post a bunch of pictures, that wasn´t used in the Articles, from our playtest of the different Scenarios. Wont give you a propper AAR but hope to inspire to some Finnish War gaming and an crave for reading my articles, if you haven´t already.
