Seems like you can get a copy of
The Pikeman´s Lament to a discount if you pre-order at North Star. It is a chance that you also get the book before the official releasedate, no prommise, but Nick at North Star most often get the Osprey Wargaming rule boos well in advance.
While you at it you might also have a look at the
North Star 1672 range of minis, exellent for Swedish and Danish regular troops during the
Scanian War 1675-1679.
Ordered now, thanks for the info & God Jul (which might be Danish :( )

Good news! All my individually mounted ECW/TYW figures have been converted to your 3-2-1 mounting system and I await TPL's release. 2017 is already looking up.
ReplyDeleteI really look forward to "The Pikeman's lament". However, are there any Scanian War models in kapurs? (The alternative is to do some kitbashing on Wargames Factory minis using WWII Russian heads in ushankas...)
ReplyDeleteFor somebody like me, new to wargaming, your blog is really enjoyable. It certainly whet my appetite for Pikeman's Lament, with 17th century/ECW being my favourite period. Now living in Sweden, my interest in the TYW has also grown - a period seldom covered in England.
ReplyDeleteThe order is in and I wait impatiently for the first week in February for delivery if my rulebook.
My Swedish cavalry will need painting before Stålhandske can ride once more in to the fray...
Bra gjort killar!
