Germen mercenarys in Danish service #3

A WIP picture of the firts 4 painted minis for my Germen mercenarys unit in Danish service.

The minis are old GW Empire plastics and Perry WotR Plastics. 32 more to go... the next 8 will fill up the back row of the unit and I plan to have pictures of them up here tomorrow...

  5. They are shaping up nicely I see. Getting a little inspired actually. What literature would you recommend as source for this period, if I was to indulge my Danish heritage...?

    1. Thaks Sören !

I expect you to play with them wnhe they are painted...if you want to get in to the history of the period I would recoment the book Karl Knutsson Bonde, only in Swedish so sorry to you other that would like to know more.

the book are out of print but you can find some copys here: http://www.bokborsen.se/?issearch=1&sall=1&scat=0&maincat=1&extendedsearch=0&mediatype=0&sallstr=9185057541

or at some second-hand bookshop in Stockholm.

  7. They look great when painted up. I thought that the GW plastic arms and heads may be a bit on the large side for the Perry torsos but it is not noticeable when they are painted.

    1. Athanks Oli !

They are indeed a bit big but you omnly think about it when gluing the minis, painted up, in a large unit and on the gaming table no one will notice:)
