My latest addition to my Polish War projet are a group of Pancerni that I build using Gripping Beast Arab Heavy Cavalry with some bits from Gripping beast Vikings, FireFirge Mongol Cavalry and Warlord Pike and Shot minis as well as some Wargames Factory WSS bits :)
The Cossack cavalry was the term used to describe the medium and light cavalry used to support the Polish husars. Originally they might have been Cossacs but the name was used to cover a wide range of cavalry from several ethnic groups from all parts of the Polish Commonwealth. In the middle of the 17th century the "Cossack" reference was replaced by Pancerni (meaning armoured) for the medium cavalry or plain light cavalry for the unarmoured cavalry.
