Gun yawl for the Finnish War 1808 WIP#4
A 4th update from my scratch build of a Swedish Gun yawl for the Finnish War 1808.
I have now block painted it all and also give it all a good wash of Army painter "Strong Tone" ink, just have to let it dry and then i´m on to high lighting and tidy-up all my sloppy block painting:)
Of course also a Ensign in the front of the ship. The Swedish Army/Archipelago fleet had a three-tailed ensign that was blue but without the yellow cross that the Swedish Navy fleet used.

ReplyDeleteThat is a truly awsome build Michael!
ReplyDeleteSuperb, excellent work!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely brilliant!
ReplyDeleteAs others have said, wonderful job.... A question though, the oarsmen look as if the gun is on the stern.... Should they be faceing the reverse if the gun is supposed to be on the bow?
ReplyDeleteComing along very nicely!
ReplyDeleteIgnore my last comment, I see from the plans the gun was indeed an aft facing piece...
