Midsummer in Sweaden...once more...


Happy Midsummer to you all !!!

3rd time I post this banned commercial by IKEA about the Swedish Midsummer celebartions...still not realy true, but quite entertaining anyway;)


Sins last year I also found this "Swedish Midsummer for Dummies" and it is in english:)

  1. I can understand why the Ikea ad got banned..ít´s got very Little to do with Ikea for a start..the Food fight was fun though :-D

    1. The IKEA one we blame at the Germans as it was IKEA in Germany that made it, they used the worst bias about the Swedes;)

      The second I suppouse we have to blame our selfs as its the national tourist board that have made it:)

Being obsessed with Scandi crime drama (both books and tv shows) like 'Wallander', 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo' and 'The Bridge', my girlfriend is always banging-on about visiting Sweden (although I'm worried we might get murdered). Given that at least a third of my music collection also originates from the same place, it does seem like a good idea!

  11. Both funny. I'm one eighth Swedish but never have got the hang of the pickled herring or the saunas!

    1. Glad to hear ! If i recall right you even been here in Stockholm at the Army museum some years back:)

      Even a Swede I haven´t got the hang of the pickled herring...I keep to the Nubbe :) (Snaps...)

      We ofcourse have our fair share of saunas, but I let the Finns have that heritage;)
