My son David, that just turned 7-years, have for some time asked if he could paint some minis and who i´m I not to let him try. So I asked about what minis he wanted and expected to here Knights... but...he wanted to paint space minis with big weapons that he noticed some of the club member was using... tried to talk him in to some historical minis, but he stod firm in his decision.
So I started to search for some cheap 40K minis and found a bunch of Space Marines and Orcs in my club mate Jockes for sale box at the club, combined with some leftovers from my old warhammer pile I managed to get two ok starting forces.
The Marines minis was enought to get a tacktical squad of 10 minis and 2 squads of Terminators of 5 minis each.
My aim with this little interlude project was that David should paint as much as possible for him self, but we ended up painting about half of the marines each, David painted all the Blue, Red and Metal and I painted the Gold, white and the gray on the bases, Now we have just started with the orks.
So here are some pictures of the newly painted Marines ready to pick a fight...
