Eagle of Empire - French Line Infantry Unboxing

The second box with Franco-Prussian War miniatures from Eagle of Empire.are the French Line Infantry.

They are 28mm minis and as with the Bavarian Infantry they are sold as a unit boxed of 16 minis that are broken down to 12 infantry, 1 Ensign, 1 Bugler, 1 NCO and 1 Officer.

The minis in the box are enought to create a 2 units with command for the upcomming Eagle of Empire rules. There are also 2 units cards for the rules included in the box.

Once again very nicely sculped and casted minis. In this box all minis are in a Firing Line pose, as I understand it the French fought quite static and used the longer range of their rifles to try to stop the Germans more agressive troops, but to no wain as it seems...

Theres are no duplicated amongst the 16 minis as they have individual sculped heads and arms so even if the bodys are from 2 or 3 basic ones the minis feel really individual, a very nice concept, perfect for skirmish wargaming.

I know there are more Franco-Prussian War miniatures from Eagle of Empire in the pipeline, Prussians Infantry and some Franc-Tireurs de la Presse and as they arrive I hope that I can share some pictures of them to and until the you can have a look at their web site and maybe order some minis:)
